FROM IDEA TO PROJECT
The EULALIA Project (Enhancing University Language courses with an App powered by game-based Learning and tangible user Interfaces Activities) aims to improve/integrate the learning methodologies of the university language centres of 4 countries (Italy, Malta, Poland and Spain) for Erasmus students through the development of innovative and inclusive learning tools based on the paradigm of Mobile Learning and Game-Based Learning methodology and the application of Tangible User Interfaces (TUIs).
The EULALIA Project has also the aim to include an approach that supports the learning/teaching processes with tangible interfaces for all student, including those with sensorial or multisensorial disabilities. This is possible by utilizing the Tangible User Interfaces (TUIs) paradigm, i.e. the setting that enables the learner to interact with cards, maps, blocks, everyday life- objects, etc.
The role of Smarted: In the EULALIA project it is responsible for the planning and realization of the Android app belonging to the project, Smarted was also the inspiration behind the project proposal.
THE PRODUCT DEVELOPED BY SMARTED
EULALIA is an app tailor-made for Erasmus students who want to have an immersive learning experience. Using new tools and technologies, EULALIA aims to improve and integrate the learning methodologies of 4 different university language centres (Italy, Malta, Poland and Spain), specifically designed for Erasmus students. EULALIA uses inclusive learning tools based on the Mobile Learning paradigm and on the methodology of game-based learning and the application of tangible user interfaces (TUI). EULALIA offers:
- inclusive and multisensory methodologies based on Tangible User Interfaces and Mobile Learning
- a wide range of activities that will lead you to discover many details related to historical, urban and everyday culture
- create your own hybrid games with your classmates and teachers, endless possibilities, use your imagination
- distance learning: train teachers and lecturers in every University Language Centre on the EULALIA platform
