marted got a new European Project. Smarted presented the project named “MERGO: Mooc in Enology aimed at Reinforcing competences applying Game-based approach and Olfactive learning for the wine tasting” in the call Erasmus Plus KA2 Strategic Partnership – Higher Education, that has been founded. The evaluation by the Agency gave a high score: 92/100.
The project has the University of Foggia as the Partner Leader and involve five countries (Italy, France, Croatia, Portugal and Turkey) with the following partners:

MERGO aims to bridge a MOOC developed by a strategic partnership of HEI and organization in the wine business sector bringing the procedural learning for the recognition of sensory features by using new ICT paradigms: the Tangible User Interfaces (TUIs) and the gamification approach. The project will draft an pedagogical validated framework aimed at the development ICT innovative tools that will allow an autonomous and distance training for students with some olfactory stimuli recognized by a digital interface and orchestrated by artificial intelligence modules (adaptive artificial tutors). The MERGO project aims to enhance the knowledge triangle in this sector in order to put in a strong relation education, research and innovation.
